Our Building
Our building at 2378 Wilshire Boulevard has been part of the Mound community for more than four decades. Originally developed in 1979 by a female entrepreneur, it was thoughtfully designed as a place to build, develop, and grow - values that still shape its purpose today.
For many years, the building served as a telecommunications facility, supporting behind-the-scenes infrastructure that helped keep people and businesses connected. Today, it begins its next chapter as The Bright Spot β reimagined as a welcoming space for creativity, collaboration, and community gathering, while honoring the entrepreneurial spirit it was founded on.
Our Founder
The Bright Spot was founded by Molly Williams, an entrepreneur, lifelong optimist and Mound resident. Molly is also the founder and owner of The Optimists, an entertainment travel agency she launched in 2012 that supports artists, performers and production teams in their travel around the world. The Bright Spot proudly serves as the new headquarters for The Optimists.
Before starting her own company, Molly spent years touring globally with iconic musicians, including Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park and several others. That experience shaped her love for travel, human connection and high-energy environments.
Molly is passionate about investing in the Mound community and creating places where people feel welcome, connected and inspired. She envisioned The Bright Spot as more than a workspace - a hub for collaboration, creativity and shared momentum. When sheβs not working, Molly is a committed mom to two boys, youth basketball coach and local volunteer. She loves soaking up lake life and contributing to the Westonka community.
